Description
No Backyard Pond Filtration System is Complete without the addition of Filter Mats.
TIPS:
For Biofalls Filters we Normally Recommend having (3) Pads inside. For Skimmer boxes generally (1). Larger Skimmer Boxes can sometimes handle an additional Pad.
Filter Mats can be rinsed with a garden hose throughout the season as needed (they can only handle so much muck!). If you need to do this frequently based on your bio-load, we Recommend rotating which Pads you Clean . . .so you Don’t Disrupt your Bacteria bed. The Addition of Bacteria after Filter Services is always a good idea!
If you find your Pads are always way too heavy to handle. .try Aquascape’s Sludge & Filter Cleaner in our Water Treatments section.
