Bioballs Filter Media

Description

Bioballs are used in Biofalls Filters as a place for “good” Bacteria to colonize.  Each Filter requires a certain amount of Bioballs, which is stated under the Biofalls Filters information.

Each Bioball provides 19 sq inches of space for Bacteria to colonize on!

BioBalls Should be Kept in Media Nets inside your Biofalls Filter.  (1) Media Net is included inside the 100 Bioballs box (item #98464) For the Bulk Size Nets are Sold Separately.

PRO TIP:  During the Season, Bioballs (or Lava Rocks)  SHOULD NOT be rinsed with Fresh Tap Water.  Remember the Bioballs are where your “good” bacteria colonizes (to help keep your ponds ecosystem stable) . .so we don’t want to rinse away “good” bacteria.  If your Bioballs are caked up with muck during the season, Rinse them with a Bucket of Your POND WATER.
